Description

Join us on this tour around the Americas! We will visit five countries - Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia - cooking and tasting dishes that are representative of  their culinary heritage, listening, singing, and dancing to their folkloric music, creating art inspired by their most famous painters, and honoring their indigenous people by listening to their stories and legends.  Food, Musica & Stories of Latin America is taught by Camellia's Spanish teacher, Maestra Lulu. This class is offered to rising first through third graders.

Description

Learn to Bump, Set & Spike with Coach JarrodStudents will learn how to play volleyball in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.  Students more familiar with the game will get opportunities to deepen their skill set and scrimmage.

Description

Participants will be introduced to sewing essentials, including sewing machine basics and hand stitching by our beloved Ms. Jenny Woods. Working with up-cycled materials, students will make creations and learn different skills like how to adorn with appliqués and make fun, handmade detailed work. 

Space is limited to only 12 students so register now so you don't lose your spot!

Visual Poetry aka "Trash Art" will be taught by Ms. Iman, handwork teacher and 7th and 8th grade assistant.  She will lead students on an exploration of language through fun games and they will learn different poetic forms like haiku and odes while creating visual art like collage and illustrations.
